I made a slide projection for Isobel, using slides that her husband had taken while he was alive. They are all shots of Isobel with her family, archetypal 'Seventies' shots, and had been sitting in a box for years. I wanted to unearth them for her so she could see them again. I wanted the image to be a projection because that is how they were originally seen, and also because of its transient nature. Its positioning is over the bed and seemed the most poignant place, with the suggestion of intimacy and the idea of the dark and light, the allusion to night time. the finished photo documentation is actually the piece of work, not the projection.
